Why Tree Ornaments are such a rage this Christmas!
| On top of ALL the weirdness that’s surrounded our lives this past year, we’ve had Diwali and Christmas literally coming at us back to back. Which almost never happens, does it?
To keep the festive mood going, I did something quite radical at home. I took down the Diwali decorations a few days later than I would, and when I did, I put our Christmas tree up the same day (much to the amusement of my 11 year old). Around 25th November!! Just seeing the decorated tree adorning the centre of our living room brings us all a little cheer every day. And I’m pretty sure you’ll agree that EVERYBODY needs some of that right now.
The thought of making personalised Christmas ornaments for our trees came about as an extension of that thought. We’re all looking for a little more joy, and for something meaningful to gift to friends, to our kids, and our beloved nieces and nephews who are growing oh-so-quickly. Not to forget the growing number of families that are welcoming 4-legged furballs into their homes during this time (we did too!). They need a place on that tree as well, don’t they?
